Manchester City great Yaya Toure admits he treasures his time with Barcelona.

While he famously didn't see eye-to-eye with then Barca coach Pep Guardiola, Toure recalls his time with the Blaugrana fondly.

Of his favourite club, he said, "Stars like Ronaldo or Maradona have played there, and also because I was able to play there with Messi, Eto'o, Henry, Alves, Iniesta, etc., and I am very grateful to that time in my life.

Toure also recalled being part of Barca's 6-2 win at Real Madrid.

"That match was iconic, it was against a great rival and on their own field. We played total football that day. I will never forget it.

"El Clásico is much bigger. United were always one of the greats of England, but for many years City was not. But Barça-Madrid is the greatest rivalry in football history."
