Manchester City must cough up big for Sevilla midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia.

The Daily Express says City have been watching Kondogbia with great interest since January and were believed to be lining up a bid of £7.6m to prise him away from Sevilla.

It was originally believed that his release clause was £6.7m but it turns out the figure is more than double this.

Kondogbia has racked up 22 appearances for Sevilla this season, and has found the net once in La Liga.
