Michael Owen is expected to walk out of Newcastle United at the end of the season.
The Sunday Express says Owen's contract is up in the summer and it is unlikely that he will be staying with Newcastle.
He will take advantage of a Bosman free, with Manchester City the favourites to sign him.
His wages, currently £110,000 a week, will not be a problem for big spending City.
