Manchester United have not ruled out landing Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri. The Telegraph says Inter Milan star Wesley Sneijder remains the priority target, but with the Inter Milan midfielder holding out for a deal matching his £190,000-a-week salary at the San Siro, the gap between both parties remains sizeable.
Manchester United lodged a £20 million bid for Arsenal's Nasri last month, but while Ferguson expects the Frenchman to sign for Manchester City, a renewed move for Nasri has not been ruled out at Old Trafford, while Chelsea's attempts to sign Luka Modric from Tottenham are also being monitored.
But with key figures due back at their desks at United today, Gill admits he and Ferguson will meet to discuss the club's next move.
Gill said: "When you're on tour, it's slightly more difficult with time zones and other priorities, but clearly when we get back, we'll be into the office on Monday and we'll sit down, assess it and see what we believe is the situation with Alex and his coaches."
