Manchester City defender John Stones has paid special tribute to the club's supporters.

Stones and his teammates were rampant in the Premier League on Wednesday night at home.

City beat title rivals Arsenal 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium, taking a giant step towards winning three straight league titles.

"It's touching, it really is touching to hear that song and people singing it for me," Stones told club media post-game about the fans singing his name.

"This is my home and probably always will be, from the moment I came. To hear the fans singing my name, I think there's mutual love between us.

"It really touches me and I always try and make sure that our fans know that I appreciate what they do, not just for me but for everyone and they get behind us on big occasions like this.

"I try to do them proud and produce for them, and little goals and days like today, I'm sure they go home very happy."
