Manchester City defender Kyle Walker was delighted to prove their late matchwinner against Southampton.

The Englishman set up Sergio Aguero's equaliser and then went on to net a late winner in a brilliant all-round performance.

“I think that's the least we deserve for how many chances that we created throughout the game and the persistence we showed," he said.

“I felt like Vinnie (Kompany) out there for a little bit! I thought what am I doing here.

“As I say it's the least we deserve and we put in a good performance. We move on now. We need to keep going and keep believing in ourselves."
