Manchester City defender Josko Gvardiol says he's learning the attacking fullback role.

The natural centre-half has impressed as left-back this season.

The 22 year-old told City's website: “I like to take a new challenge and it's been a big one for me this season. I'm trying to do my best every time and of course I need some time to adapt and understand each other in the team.

“Being in the final third – it's something new for me."

On the title race, Gvardiol added: “Every game is a new fight and new final.

“You need to be ready 100 per cent. It's a big challenge but I look forward to it. We focus on the next one.

“We learn every day as a team. That's the reason I joined here – to learn and to win titles. Hopefully we continue in that way."
