Suggestions that Manchester City are poised to sign Israel midfielder Nir Biton are being played down by the club. The 20-year-old FC Ashdod player impressed during a recent trial period with the Premier League leaders and there have been suggestions a loan deal is being put together.
However, it is understood that City would prefer to take another look at a player who would initially be part of their Elite Development Squad and getting the necessary work permit would not be easy.
