Manchester City are considering a loan release for Kalvin Phillips.

The England midfielder has been dubbed "overweight" by manager Pep Guardiola after his time away with the Three Lions World Cup squad.

The Manchester Evening News says City could consider letting him leave on loan until the end of this season.

Guardiola knows Phillips needs to play to get back in shape.

The midfielder is only in his first season at City after joining from Leeds United.
