Manchester City coach Brian Kidd insists claims of regular training ground fights are exaggerated.
Kidd says he's seen it all before at former club Manchester United under manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
"It's supposed to be like the Wild West - that's laughable," he insisted to the Sunday Express. "You hear about all these supposed fights.
"It's nothing I haven't seen before. I've seen real fights on training grounds."
What he sees now in Roberto Mancini is a manager with a desire and determination to achieve the same success as Ferguson.
"The boss' work here has been phenomenal," he added. "The work ethic never diminished under Ferguson and what's happening now at City is not dissimilar. Once you get a trophy it becomes intoxicating. Players want more of it.
"When United weren't playing well, the players were still like mad dogs running around desperate to get a result. That's what we're trying to cultivate here."
