Manchester City assistant boss Brian Kidd says skipper Carlos Tevez is a throwback to a previous era.
Kidd is in awe of Tevez's enthusiasm for the game.
He told City's website: "I think Carlos just relishes the hard work. You've only got to look at his performance at Arsenal the other night - hard work certainly doesn't faze him. He's always prepared to pick up the baton.
"You could see him just playing football in the street. He reminds me of how it was years ago, he's a throwback!
"I can't see Carlos getting many days off for the second half of the season, but adding a different type of player to the squad naturally gives you another option, and rest assured the boss will be working on that.
"It's always good to be able to add quality in the areas where you think you can improve the squad, and the boss has looked at the strengths and weaknesses and decided which way he needs to go."
