Man City captain Vincent Kompany confident body will keep together

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany is confident his body can hold up going into next season.

Kompany, who says he will work hard over the summer to maintain his fitness, has completed City's last three games having been dogged by calf, groin and thigh problems.

"I understand a lot of people think I'd be worried and I have no issue with that. But you don't come back if you think that way, it's the truth. You keep going," he said.

"I'm feeling good and enjoying being out with the lads. It makes a change from being in the gym.

"I'm always naturally positive, you guys know that. I don't give up or see the drama in things – I know it is in my hands. The comeback story is gone now and I just enjoy playing my football."
