Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany insists no one player is bigger than the team.
After their Champions League elimination, City remain in the hunt for a maiden Premier League title defence, and Kompany says motivation remains high in the Blues' dressing room.
He said, “It's a good journey to be a part of.
“But definitely one thing to remember from our team is that no individual is crucial really. It's the system that is crucial.
“It's to have enough individuals that's crucial, and that's the strength of our team and maybe also the reason why it's sometimes more difficult to get back into the team.
“I appreciate every day. I don't really look too much at all these possibilities that could be just a month from now. I still feel there's ten years to play for.
“I wake up every morning, I'm motivated, I still compete, trying to find a way to convince a manager to put me in the squad, and it is what it is and I support the players when I don't."
