Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany says Belgian football must pick itself up after last night's shock Euros defeat to Wales.
The 30-year-old was unable to lead the Red Devils in this summer's tournament in France following surgery after groin problems.
Kompany tweeted: "Being positive is not to be confused with simplicity, you have to show mental strength.
"We hurt today but we will give tomorrow and build forever."
Kompany has been working as a pundit for the BBC during the tournament and like most expected his team-mates to progress to the semi-finals.
