Manchester City are monitoring Diego's situation at Werder Bremen.
Juventus are favourites for the Brazil international, but will not be able to compete with City's spending power should Werder decide to sell to the highest bidder.
The Sunday Mirror says Diego is City's shopping list, which also includes Barcelona's Samuel Eto'o and Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery.
