Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has tried to bring PSG star Zlatan Ibrahimovic to England.

The Daily Mail says Mancini wanted to sign Ibrahimovic when he left Barcelona for AC Milan in the summer of 2011. The Italians, though, had first option on the striker after a successful season-long loan at the San Siro.

City's coaching staff have long-since grown used to Mancini singing the Sweden star's praises to them, frequently describing him as 'the complete' forward.
