Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini says Adam Johnson set the standard in his performance for victory over Fulham.

Mancini insists he can play an important part in their season as they look to win the Premier League for the first time.

"Adam did well," he said "I think he is a fantastic winger.

"He deserved to have this chance and I hope he can continue because now we have three important months and we need him."
