Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini turned the air blue yesterday after being asked about Manuel Pellegrini.

The Malaga coach is being linked with Mancini's job.

"F****** hell!" exclaimed a smiling Mancini in mock exasperation when asked about the issue.

"I can't continue to answer each week about one manager or another or another. But also because I don't understand this. Why would Manchester City change their manager?

"Since 2011 we have won three of seven trophies. If I didn't win for two or three years, I would leave. I couldn't continue to stay here. It would be impossible for my mind to think this.

"But eight months ago we won the Premier League. Six months ago we won the Community Shield.

"Now we have another two chances. Maybe the Premier League will be difficult, but we have the FA Cup. Hopefully, if we can take second place, that would not be a bad season - like United last year."
