Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini insists the achievements of Jose Mourinho owe more to the players he's worked with than the Real Madrid coach himself. Mourinho led the Inter Milan team built by Mancini to the Champions League title in 2010.

Mancini said: "I won seven ­trophies in three years at Inter but not the Champions League - sometimes it is not your moment. You ­prepare, but in this ­competition you need luck.

"Jose is one of the best in the world, but people should ­forget the managers. It's the players who will decide the game and anything else that happens outside the pitch is not important."
