Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is eyeing Steaua Bucharest defender Vlad Chiriches.

Pro Sport says Mancini was impressed by Chiriches against Europa League opponents Chelsea last week and sees him as a natural successor for Kolo Toure.

Toure comes off contract in June and Mancini wants 23 year-old Romania international Chiriches as a direct replacement.

Chiriches' camp have also held talks with Barcelona and Inter Milan this season.
