Manchester City boss Mark Hughes faces a dilemma over his bid for a new goalkeeper.

The Daily Mail says Hughes continues to weigh up a £10m bid for Newcastle keeper Shay Given against the more high-profile capture of Juventus's Buffon.

Tottenham, too, are considering Given.

Buffon is keen to come to City -albeit only on wages of more than £200,000 a week - but Hughes needs to be convinced the Italy No 1has recovered from a recent injury, meaning Given is his favourite.
