Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says they must be patient over Vincent Kompany's return.
Guardiola also revealed Kompany faces a battle to get back to his best.
The Belgian star returns after an eight-week lay-off with a knee problem — the 35th injury of his 8½-year stay at the club.
Guardiola said: “When he is fit, we cannot deny how good Vincent is, but maybe he needs time.
“Mentally he is strong but I don't want him to put pressure on himself."
