Man City boss Guardiola: The Champions League is nice - but the Premier League...

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says defending their Premier League title is a priority.

City go to Crystal Palace in today's early kickoff.

Guardiola said: “I love it. The domestic trophy is the important one.

“The Premier League, La Liga. I'm not going to say the Champions League is not nice, of course it is.

“Now we have it, we know what it means to have it in our soul and our peace for the fact we've got it.

“But the knowledge is because it's [the Premier League] more difficult, there are more games. It's every week, two or three games. Every week, every week, every week.

“The Champions League is of course important. But it depends more on some things you cannot control. Both are incredibly important, but the Premier League improves a lot.

“It means the mentality of the teams to be there all the time for many, many years. For me personally and my education at home or whatever.

“To be [there] every day, you have to do the best so that means a lot to us and me personally."
