Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has a special description for club great David Silva - something first coined by Eibar coach Jose Luis Mendilibar.

Guardiola was paying tribute to Silva as the midfielder prepares to depart at the end of the season.

Asked to describe Silva, Guardiola smiled: "A little b*****d.

"This is the perfect definition of Mendilibar. He learned his football on the street, as if he were under threat. You can't understand David's greatness and all his qualities until you know them.

"He has the respect of all his colleagues, his teammates, his opponents, the coaches, everyone. And he has earned it."
