Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has hailed the impact of Fabian Delph this season.

Guardiola admits Delph has surprised him at left-back.

"Last season for example, I never thought of playing Fabian Delph at full-back," he said.

"Now it's 'Ah, the brilliant Pep. How talented he is'. Why didn't I do that last season?"

Guardiola shrugs: "I ask that myself as well."
