Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is interested in Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni.

That's according to Sky Italia's Fabio Caressa.

Caressa reported on Sunday: "Bastoni? Guardiola would do all he could to get him because he is the perfect central defender for Guardiola and also for (Atalanta coach Gian Piero) Gasperini."

Caressa also praised the work of Inter coach Simone Inzaghi.

"We must speak well of Simone Inzaghi. A year ago in February he was two steps away from being kicked out, if he loses in Porto they will kick him out, the things change in a year and change in a formidable way.

"He is a person who keeps calm but is not stubborn. This year he has changed a lot, he no longer changes when there are yellow cards, he no longer makes pre-ordained substitutions.
