Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola was delighted with Phil Foden's Champions League debut in victory over Feyenoord.
Foden made his competitive debut when he came on for Yaya Toure in the second half and Brahim Diaz was also brought on.
“I want to say big congratulations to the academy," he said.
“All the club has to be so proud - two young players, 17 and 18, making their first appearance in the Champions League.
“If the result had been more clear, they would have got more minutes. They are young talents but our squad is not too big so we will see what happens.
“Hopefully they can stay for a long time and help to develop the club.
“All the guys who have been working for a long time in the academy, scouting and searching in the talent, managers, teammates - I put them on the field but those guys deserve the credit, they are responsible for them making their first [Champions League] appearance."
