Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson says he wouldn't swap his defensive pairing Richard Dunne and Micah Richards for any combination in Europe.

The duo turned in colossal performances at Eastlands on Sunday as City survived a second-half pummelling to claim a creditable goalless draw with Liverpool.

"I don't know if they are the best because it is very difficult to compare but I wouldn't change them with anyone," said Eriksson.

"Richard has been around for a long time but he is only 28 and Micah is still 19, which is fantastic.

"Throughout the season, our defence has been very good and both Richard and Micah are really important to us."
