Man City boss delighted with 'lethal weapon' Balotelli

Roberto Mancini has labeled Mario Balotelli as Manchester City's 'lethal weapon'.

The Italian striker has hit form with two goals in his past two Premier League outings to add to his Carling Cup strike the match prior and Mancini says he can continue that goalscoring presence in the Champions League.

"I'm happy with him [Balotelli]," said Mancini, speaking to Il Domani dello Sport.

"I'm sure this time he will continue to play well. He will become our lethal weapon in the Champions League."

City next meet Spanish club Villarreal at Etihad Stadium on October 18 in the Champions League following their domestic obligations with Aston Villa on Saturday.
