Manchester City have beaten Barcelona to the signing of Velez Sarsfield teen Benjamin Garre.

Sport says the 15-year-old Garre played in the ranks of Velez Sarsfield and is also an Argentina youth international.

The attacking midfielder possesses great quality and is also very complete.

The expectations are very high with him and it will be Pep Guardiola's Manchester City that will allow him the opportunity to develop. Velez could not hold onto him but will fight to receive compensation for his formation rights.
