Man City and Chelsea confident of completing Sterling deal

Manchester City and Chelsea are confident they will complete a transfer for Raheem Sterling.

The England international is the subject of interest from Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, who wants a new forward line under owner Todd Boehly.

Romelu Lukaku is expected to depart for Inter Milan and Timo Werner is also being linked with an exit from Stamford Bridge.

The London Evening Standard reports that both clubs believe they will reach an agreement for Sterling to move down south.

27-year-old Sterling is into the final 12 months of his current deal at the Etihad and is open to the prospect of a move to Chelsea.

Boehly, acting as interim sporting director, is in contact with City to understand their transfer fee demands.
