Manchester City playmaker David Silva has welcomed being compared to Lionel Messi and says he hopes to do all he can for Spain at this summer's Euro2012.
Spain manager Vicente del Bosque has previously compared the 26-year old to the Barcelona ace and those words have motivated the former Valencia man.
"Messi is the best player in the world, the fact that Del Bosque says that helps me to continue to work and to continue playing my game and adapting it to the national team.
"I want to play my part in this team.""More than pressure, that is a compliment," he told reporters at a press conference.
