Malta international Barbara close to joining Vancouver Whitecaps
Etienne Barbara is on the verge of signing with MLS club Vancouver Whitecaps he has confirmed.
The 29-year old Malta international is set to reunite with former Carolina RailHawks boss Martin Rennie who is now the head coach at Vancouver.
Barbara, who netted 20 goals for the RailHawks in the North American Soccer League last season, is training with the Whitecaps and very close to agreeing a deal.
“We're finalizing the last little bit so we can just put the contract on paper.”“I'm here to discuss the contract and train with the team for now,” Barbara said.
