Roberto Martinez has confirmed that Shaun Maloney and Ivan Ramis have been added to the Wigan Athletic casualty list.
Scottish attacker Maloney sustained a groin injury in the weekend's 3-2 win over Reading whilst Spanish defender Ramis picked up a hamstring strain.
The pair are certainly out of Wednesday night's home clash with Manchester City and could be sidelined for longer according to Martinez who already has the likes of captain Gary Caldwell (hamstring), Antolin Alcaraz (groin), Albert Crusat (knee), Ryo Miyaichi (ankle) and Ben Watson (leg) unavailable.
"Shaun's injury is worse than Ivan's," Martinez told reporters.
"He has picked up a groin strain and, although we'll assess him, it looks as though he'll be out for a while.
"With Ivan's injury, we managed to catch it just in time before it got worse. He felt a twinge in his hamstring and we'll assess him to see how long he'll be out for."
