Malaga's Maresca open to Sampdoria move

Malaga midfielder Enzo Maresca has admitted interest in a move to Sampdoria.

The former Juventus and West Bromwich Albion ace is weighing up his options in the remaining days of the summer market.

"At Malaga I am great, but after ten years abroad I want to return to my country", the 32-year-old noted, speaking to Tuttomercatoweb.

The Milan youth product, who has gone on to represent Fiorentina, Juventus and Sevilla amongst others, made it clear that the move isn't sealed just yet though.

"As long as there's nothing official and no 'ok' from both parties, I am still a player of Malaga. Right now I am concentrating on the Champions League preliminaries.

"Surely it would be a pleasure for me to be part of the Sampdoria project, but at the moment there is nothing new, no developments."
