German club Mainz have signed Joo-Ho Park from Swiss side FC Basel.

The 26-year old South Korean left-back has penned a two-year contract with Mainz for an undisclosed fee and his new boss Thomas Tuchel is excited about his arrival.

"Joo-Ho Park is a technically and tactically accomplished player, who has amassed an impressive amount of experience in international football," said Tuchel.

"He was a mainstay of the Basel team on the left side of defence and we're delighted he can now prove his quality with us."

Park, who has played 11 times for South Korea, made 47 Swiss Super League appearances for Basel following his 2011 move from Jubilo Iwata. He has also played for Mito HollyHock and Kashima Antlers.
