Fulham boss Felix Magath can see light at the end of the tunnel, despite defeat to Chelsea.
His team remain bottom, five points from safety.
But the German said: "I've seen an improvement. We played well in the first half against Chelsea, we did not play like a relegation team. If next week we play two halves like that, we will win.
"You can see this week was better than last week (against West Bromwich). Step by step it goes forward, and that is all you can ask for. We are on the right way."
