Maduro won't follow Koeman out of Valencia

Hedwiges Maduro won't be following Ronald Koeman out of Valencia in the summer.

The Holland midfielder insists he was shocked by Koeman's axing yesterday, but maintained: "I am not afraid of a new coach. My form this season has shown I'm among the club's best players and under the new man I will show I deserve to be here."

Maduro also said: "I know Koeman well. He gave me my start at Ajax and it's always very difficult to see your coach leave. With him here, this place felt like home.

"It was written that he didn't get along with the players. But I never saw this. Of course there were arguments, but this happens at all clubs."
