Former Tottenham captain Gary Mabbutt has hit out at the club's current players.

"Every Spurs player bar one has under-achieved this season with one notable exception, Robbie Keane has been outstanding. He has been a leader in the absence of Ledley King and has also scored 10 goals," Mabbutt told the Ham & High newspaper.

"Lessons have to be learned regarding the way the Martin Jol affair was handled. Even the chairman admits that the whole episode could have been handled better."
