Lyon have defeated their French Ligue 1 rivals Bordeaux 3-1 in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals.
Les Gones will take a clear advantage into the return bout in Bordeaux on April 7 after Lisandro Lopez netted a double to guide the home side to what was in the end a comfortable victory.
Lopez opened up the scoring in the 10th minute when he turned in from close range but it was soon cancelled out as Marouane Chamakh hit back four minutes later.
The Morocco international headed home a Yoann Gourcuff cross to register an away goal for les Girondins and restore hope for the visitors.
But just after the half-hour mark Michel Bastos restored sanity for Lyon with his fifth goal in five games and the win was rounded 13 minutes from time when Lopez converted a penalty after Bordeaux's Mathieu Chalme was harshly adjudged to have handled in the area.
