Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas believes Manchester United are allowed to play by different rules in the transfer market after their comments on Karim Benzema.

Aulas was angered by United boss Sir Alex Ferguson's admission that The Red Devils could make a summer bid for the French sensation.

Ferguson's revelation came just days before the two sides' Champions League second round tie, a game in which Benzema netted for the Ligue 1 champions.

Aulas accused United of trying to rock the Lyon ship, and he believes there would be an outcry if the situation was reversed.

"As soon as Lyon is interested in a player of another French club, one shouts with the scandal," Aulas was quoted as saying in L'Equipe.

"But a few days before facing Manchester United, I read here or there that Ferguson will make a proposal for Benzema.

"If that is not destabilization...".
