Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas insists Nabil Fekir is "calm" over the collapse of his move to Liverpool.

Fekir is now with France at the World Cup after seeing his switch to England fall through.

Aulas said: "I had an exchange with him the day after the night when we decided to stop negotiating with Liverpool. He was very calm. I immediately told him that if he wanted to stay, we could extend.

"I had said before that we did not need to sell. We have the means to keep Fekir. The current trend is that no one is allowed to leave so we can have the best team and that it is reinforced as planned."
