Olympique Lyon need to sell to clinch the signing of Liverpool attacker Xherdan Shaqiri.

Lyon and Shaqiri have agreed personal terms and the French giants have been discussing a fee with Liverpool for several weeks.

Lyon's last offer was for €6m, while Liverpool have dropped their valuation from €15m to €14m.

Lyon remain eager to reach a deal with the Reds, but need to sell first to make an improved offer.

Maxwel Cornet is likely to be sacrificed, with the wing-back wanted by Burnley and Hertha Berlin.
