Lyon midfielder Lucas Tousart is interesting Everton.

France Football says Everton only rejected Paris Saint-Germain's move for Idrissa Gueye in January because Tousart turned them down.

The Blues targeted the Lyon midfielder as a replacement for Gueye, only to see their advances snubbed as he opted to remain in France in the summer.

Everton also considered Watford's Abdoulaye Doucoure as an option should Gueye leave, but they quickly dismissed the thought as they deemed him too expensive.
