Lyon midfielder Clement Grenier has cooled talk of a move to Newcastle United.

Newcastle made an offer for Grenier yesterday.

But he said: "I haven't got a lot to say on that subject.

"I'm not aware of Newcastle negotiations.

"I have lots of objectives and I need to achieve them with Lyon this year.

"I can nearly say I'm not going to Newcastle."
