Tottenham prospect Reo Griffiths is set for a medical at Olympique Lyon today.

The Daily Star says Griffiths, 18, is due to have a medical in the French city this afternoon.

It is major blow for Spurs and their manager Mauricio Pochettino with Griffiths seen as one of the most exciting young English strikers to have emerged in generations.

Barcelona, Real Madrid and Paris St-Germain are understood to have been among the clubs who were also keen to sign Griffiths.

But he was wowed by the long-term offer at Lyon and the football project at the club, who are managed by Bruno Genesio and finished third last season.
