Olympique Lyon have jumped into the battle for Atletico Madrid fullback Filipe Luis.

The Brazil international is off contract at the end of this month and in contact with Barcelona and Flamengo about his next move.

L'Equipe says Lyon have also come forward as they see Luis as a replacement for Ferland Mendy, who has just been sold to Real Madrid.

Over the weekend, Luis stated: "There's a chance that I'll stay and there's a chance that I'll leave.

"Out of respect for the national team, it's not the moment to negotiate. I will sit down with the club and my representatives after the Copa America and we'll see what I have to do.

"But you know Atletico is the club in my heart and where I've spent the best years of my life."
