Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed that Tottenham made an official offer for Hugo Lloris.
There were reports earlier this summer that Spurs were showing interest in the France number one goalkeeper with Aulas today telling French radio RMC that was definitely the case.
"Hugo wants to play in one of the best clubs in Europe," Aulas said.
"This year there was an approach from Tottenham that was quickly rejected.
"If he absolutely wants to leave, we will look at the proposals but they must be consistent with what we want. If not, he will stay."
