Lyngby coach Freyr Alexandersson has admitted he'd welcome the signing of Gylfi Sigurdsson.
The former Everton and Tottenham midfielder is a free agent and weighing up a return to football. The Icelander was acquitted in a case of sexual assault in England earlier this year.
"Honestly, I don't expect anything. I know our budget and the players I want to bring in cost a lot of money. If we bring something in, they have to reinforce the squad," said Alexandersson.
"I would be happy with a striker and a midfielder, but I don't think it will happen.
"If Gylfi Sigurdsson wants to play football for Lyngby Boldklub, it will be absolutely fantastic. Gylfi Sigurdsson is the best footballer I have ever been around. We know each other very well, and I have nothing more to say.
"There might be a chance because we know each other, and because of our relationship it might happen."
