Angel Di Maria has spoken out about his departure from Manchester United.
The Argentine winger left Old Trafford earlier this summer to join French giants Paris Saint-Germain after spending just one season with United following his British record £59.7million move from Real Madrid last summer.
Di Maria admits he clashed with Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal and ultimately left the club because of the system the Dutch tactician implemented.
"Van Gaal has his philosophy and one of the things that made me want to leave is that," he said on ESPN Radio Argentina.
"It is difficult to adapt to Van Gaal. I had a couple of rows with him."
He added: "I started well and after that I got injured. Things didn't go well for me and van Gaal changed my position.
"I spoke with [Laurent] Blanc and his thinking was that I'd play in a similar position to where I did at Real Madrid."
Di Maria made his debut for PSG on Sunday, coming off the bench to provide the assist for Ezequiel Lavezzi's 83rd-minute goal, in the 3-0 win at Monaco.
